Merry Christmas!! We had such a wonderful holiday season! Zach and I were both off work for almost two weeks, which was fantastic!!
We did lots of fun little activities that Ellie really enjoyed! We made a few ornaments from a craft kit I got from Target. We decorated a gingerbread house and made/decorated sugar cookies.
We did our traditional “pseudo-Christmas Eve” on different nights with each of the grandparents at their houses – where we exchange gifts with them, etc.
We drove around looking at lights multiple nights (even Ethan enjoyed this) and went to the two different botanic gardens lights displays. We went on nights when the daytime weather had been the warmest, so it wasn’t too cold – plus the kids were bundled nicely in the double stroller! We also ran other errands, did some stuff around the house, laid in bed watching TV in the mornings and just enjoyed being together!
I turned Pandora on in the car one day and Alvin & The Chipmunks was on… Ellie NEVER likes listening to music in the car, so when she decided she liked this music she then asked for Christmas music every time we got in the car. If it wasn’t Alvin & The Chipmunks, though, she wasn’t happy! ha! Eventually by the end of the season, she knew quite a few Christmas songs and would sing along to them as best she could – even if it wasn’t Alvin and The Chipmunks! ha!
Zach’s parents went to Texas on Christmas day…. so this is the rest of us after the kids opened their gifts from us and from Santa.
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We have more pictures in the December 2013 Photo Album.
