Buena Vista Visit

Beautiful Arkansas River
Beautiful Arkansas River

Zach’s aunt & uncle (Howard & Jane) have a cabin up in Buena Vista, CO and invited us up for the weekend. We headed out with Zach’s parents on Friday morning and got to Buena Vista a little after noon. It was a beautiful day! After a yummy lunch downtown, Howard & Jane showed us around the town. There are some cute areas that we never knew existed! We drove along the Arkansas river and enjoyed the  sights! Later we took a drive up to Leadville and the Twin Lakes. Then we cooked out for dinner and hung out the rest of the evening.

Standing in the Arkansas river… it was COLD! 29 weeks…

Zach got some great pictures of the hummingbirds outside of the cabin!

Saturday we got up and headed over Cottonwood Pass. This is a view from the top of Cottonwood pass.

Then we followed the dirt road down to Tincup, a tiny little dirt-road town. There were no paved roads to or from the town and most people there were on ATVs. We ate lunch in Tincup and then headed back to the cabin.

After hanging out for a little while, we headed back home. We spent a lot of Saturday in the car (seeing the sights and driving home), but it was a great day! We also stopped in Colorado Springs for our first visit to the new Rudy’s! It was a long wait in line, but totally worth it!

We posted more pictures posted in our Buena Vista Photo Album.
